Dave Anderson

Dave Anderson has been Principal Bass with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra since 1996, and the Britt Festival Orchestra since 1994. He has performed extensively with many diverse ensembles including the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Louisville Orchestra, Aspen Festival, Chautauqua (NY) Festival, Colorado Philharmonic (NRO), Colorado Music Festival, the LaSalle Quartet, and as a soloist with Richard Stoltzman, Gene Bertoncini, Nigel Kennedy, Bobby McFerrin, Doc Severinsen and many others. Anderson is an internationally acclaimed composer of orchestral and chamber works, with performances around the world shared on YouTube. His Concerto for Double Bass, Strings & Harp, commissioned and premiered by the Philadelphia Orchestra with Principal Bassist Hal Robinson and Wolfgang Sawallisch conducting. Also a prolific jazz and funk bassist, Anderson has jammed with The Radiators, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Roy Pope, Darryl Brown, and many other great New Orleans musicians including a killer performance with guitarist Brian Stoltz of the Funky Meters as a main highlight of the French Quarter Festival.

Catherine Anderson

Catherine Anderson is an active professional freelance harpist and teacher in New Orleans, having developed a highly esteemed reputation for musical excellence and versatility over the past 20 years. A Certified Suzuki Harp Instructor, Mrs. Anderson teaches all ages and stages of students, and is on the faculty at Tulane University School of Music and the University of New Orleans. She is the solo harpist for the New Orleans Ritz-Carlton tearoom, charter member of the acclaimed chamber music group Musaica, and first call for shows at the Saenger Theater, Jefferson Performing Arts, The Beau Rivage, and Tulane Summer Lyric Theater. She received a BM and MM in harp performance from Indiana University School of Music, with additional studies at Oberlin Conservatory and the Salzedo Harp Colony. Also a Certified Music Practitioner (CMP) through the Music for Healing and Transition Program, Cathy plays live, interactive music at the bedside to bring beauty and healing to those suffering from illness. An active member of the American Harp Society, Ms. Anderson was awarded their 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award.
