I bring the music to you!
About Therapeutic Music
Music has the amazing ability to heal us across great distances and time. Especially in times of difficulty and stress, music can be the greatest gift we can give to ourselves and our loved ones. In one 30-minute therapeutic session, listeners can experience deep relaxation and a release of tension, as they are carried away on the sounds and rhythms that have been carefully chosen for them.
Receiving the gift of Live Therapeutic Music played specifically for you on Cathy's beautiful harp is an experience you will never forget!
BOOK A SESSION
Therapeutic sessions are booked in 30 minute sessions. Each session includes 20 minutes of playing time and 10 minutes for setup, introductions, questions, and wind-down.

CATHY'S EXPERIENCE
Cathy is a Certified Music Practitioner (CMP) working with hospitals, nursing homes, health care facilities, and home hospice residents to bring peace and comfort to those who are ill or dying. Her Live Therapeutic Music sessions are adapted to the needs of each individual in the moment, and may be able to lower blood pressure, reduce pain and anxiety, stabilize heart rates, provide companionship, a time for contemplation, and much more. In the past year Cathy has provided over 1100 LTM sessions through the Louisiana Department of Health Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Nursing Home Residents’ Trust Fund.
Virtual sessions may be conducted via Zoom or other video conferencing platforms.
For a full therapeutic response, an average session consists of 20 minutes of music. Sessions are personalized for each individual.
Music is selected to fit the needs of each patient, and may feature many different musical genres as well as free improvisation.
No speaking or interaction is needed on the part of the patient unless they choose, and they may end the session at any time. Falling asleep is encouraged!
Healing is focused on those suffering from all types of illness, sleep loss and depression, in all healthcare settings, but most everyone nearby will find the music soothing and enjoy the benefits as well.
Certification may be received through the Music for Healing and Transition Program (MHTP) as well as other therapeutic music training programs accredited through the National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians.

Mom was extremely weak during her last weeks, but she was able to thoroughly enjoy Cathy's Healing Harp performance right there in her own bedroom. What a balm for her and then for my sisters and me as we had Cathy play during Mom's visitation and funeral service as well.
Cathy has provided great happiness, relaxation, stress relief and comfort as my mother recovers from her fall.
This is the highlight of my mother's week!
Cathy's harp music brings a feeling of calm, not only to the residents but also to staff passing by as the music is heard beyond the room. Cathy is very knowledgeable about the effects of music on healing, and attentive to resident's needs, asking staff for our input on who would most benefit.
I have observed Ms. Cathy playing for several elders who are agitated. Once she starts playing for them they calm down, becoming more relaxed. I believe the music is also very beneficial to our residents with advanced dementia. It has a positive impact on the elder's quality of life no matter what stage they are in.
Cathys Healing Harp provides calm, relaxing music and compassionate companionship. We love Cathy and her harp music.
Cathy's music makes me happy - please continue to come!
The music makes me forget about my ailments.
Truly something very pleasant to look forward to; a sense of caring, peace and joy.
With eyes closed I felt loved and cared for, with eyes open I was fascinated watching gifted fingers and dancing harp strings.
Harp music is a welcome respite from constant announcements over the PA system, and melts tension away.
Cathy's harp music helps me to live longer.
